About me
I started making jewellery about the age of 12. I was fortunate enough to grow up with a creative family who always encouraged me to make things with my hands. I also had many friends who willingly shared their artistic abilities with others, myself included. I have many happy memories of learning how to use a plane and hammer in my dads workshop, my mum very patiently trying to teach me how to knit and crochet, Wendy, Debbie, Dale and Molly who took me under their wing and taught me a wide variety of both sewing and jewellery making techniques. They always encouraged me to take the skills I had learned from them and truly make them my own. This fostered in me a fascination with learning new crafts and skills which has continued to this day.
I launched my Etsy shop in 2018 making seed beaded jewellery. My confidence was low and I often felt like giving up. I didn't however and I took part in Makers Market From Home on Instagram during lockdown and some local markets where I lived at the time in Northern Ireland.
However while seed beading will likely always remain one of my hobbies and part of my business, I have started to really enjoy exploring my more artistic side and developing my painted creations inspired by my little garden and my love of colour. I now live in the Kingdom of Fife with my husband David and my cat Tabitha (you guessed it...a tabby). It is a beautiful part of the world and I would encourage you to come and visit!
